Write to the Lords now to protect your consumer rights!

The House of Lords is voting next Tuesday on whether to limit your consumer rights when selling tickets for live events.

Under their proposals, whenever you sell a ticket on an online platform you will have to provide:

  • Your name and address;
  • Your row and seat number;
  • The booking reference number; and
  • Whether the resale contravenes terms and conditions agreed to by the original buyer.

We believe that this would go directly against basic principles of consumer rights, and also raises worrying issues around privacy. We urge you to sign our letter, letting the Lords know how you feel about this important issue.

It is imperative that this proposal is stopped in its tracks. By signing our letter, you could have a real effect in stopping this bad piece of legislation from ever entering the statute book!

If you have any queries about the letter, please email us at george@fanfreedom.org.uk and we will be delighted to help.
