At Fan Freedom UK, we think one of the biggest problem with the UK ticketing market is bots. These are, as mentioned in an earlier post, computer programmes which buy up tickets for events en masse, preventing normal fans from getting a look-in.
After some investigation at Fan Freedom UK, we’ve found websites, such as this one, which actually sell bots to customers who want to game the system. They are selling for thousands of pounds, and going to unscrupulous people who are looking to make this money back by ripping off ordinary fans.
We’re totally against this kind of behaviour, and encourage ministers and civil servants to do all they can to stop this. This would, in our opinion, be far more effective than stopping ordinary fans from selling tickets which they have legitimately bought. We’re going to be setting up a campaign against bots in the near future, and we’ll let you know how you can get involved shortly.
Thanks again for all your support.
