Yesterday Tracey Crouch, the new Minister for Sport, said that she “believes that prices should be set by supply and demand in the secondary ticketing market”.
At Fan Freedom UK we are very pleased with this comment, as we believe that it marks a significant departure from the previous position taken by the government. It suggests that it is prepared to repeal the unwelcome additions to the Consumer Rights Act.
At Fan Freedom UK we are therefore calling on Tracey Crouch to do exactly this, and ensure that event organisers can no longer have such a tight grip on the secondary ticketing market.
We will soon be preparing a campaign to help you convince the government that it must do this, and much more besides, to help protect your consumer rights.
